Hey readers, happy blogmas day 7! Boston is a beautiful place to be during the holidays. Actually, Boston is a beautiful city to visit any time of the year. Be on the lookout for more Boston guides in the coming months for those of you attending AOTA Conference! For anyone who is visiting the city this December, these are some fun things to see and do for the holidays:
There are amazing Christmas trees at the Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, Copley Square, and Seaport. The tree in Faneuil Hall has the Blink! light and sound display that plays every half hour from 4:30-10pm through the month of December.
Holiday Light Tours
You can take a ride on a trolley to see a holiday light tour, which sounds like so much fun. I have never been, but I have seen it around the city and it looks really cool. You can also go on a holiday cruise on the Boston Harbor, which my friend did recently and loved.
I have been wanting to try this for years! The Envoy Hotel in Boston has a rooftop bar, and during the winter there are igloos to keep you warm. I have done something similar in NYC, and it was so cool.
There are lots of holiday markets and craft fairs to check out this month. I have been to a few, and they always have so many cute gifts for anyone on your list this year. Check out this website to find markets all over the city, in the South End, Seaport, and Back Bay.
Holidays at the MFA
I LOVE the Museum of Fine Arts. I went recently and saw their Christmas Tree, which had a garland wrapping around it made of flags from countries all over the world. Check out the rest of their holiday exhibits and events going on this season.
This is another thing that I have wanted to do for years. I have seen the Boston Pops before, but I have never seen the Holiday Pops. The symphony orchestra has a special holiday performance during the month of December, which I’m sure is fantastic.
